His ex-partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins. I downloaded this movie (in full HD) and watched it partially on my computer, and partially on a much larger screen. When watching the movie on my computer, I found myself constantly fast forwarding to scenes where cars were being driven fast. I stopped at what appeared to be key moments of the film, and got a very good sense of what was going on having heard just a few lines. <br/><br/>When I switched to a larger screen (about an hour into the movie), I paid more attention to the story and dialogue, and found myself quickly reaching for the remote again. Not only is the acting terribly weak, the script/storyline is quite unbearable. <br/><br/>This movie has very little going for it – maybe some fans of the game will be drawn to it, or super-car aficionados, but for anyone else, avoid. They have been slacking off a bit lately on the gaming side, but still get to play some of the old versions once in a while. Along with countless other fans (since this is the most selling video game franchise in the world) I have been waiting for the film and lets just say that I think you have to be a guy, a child on the inside anyway and just sit back, relax and enjoy the engines roar :)<br/><br/>Well yes the plot might be a bit on the weak side, but if you are going to have a film about racing in top tuned cars, avoiding traffic and the police, this does a hell of a job. My opinion on this film is that it was very nicely done, great filming and angles, great crashes (sorry for the real cars that was trashed), great pursuits and great scenery.<br/><br/>I wish I had had a wheel and pedals and was back in the game playing on the big screen of the cinema. Loved it and was greatly entertained. Paul plays the part with the flinty, tightly wound charisma of a small man who makes up in moxie what he lacks in stature. There’s something of the young James Cagney in him, and he’s by far the best thing Need for Speed has going for it.
